Accepting all the ups and downs between Shah Rukh Khan and him, ace filmmaker Karan Johar called him to be a family and will always be so.
“Shah Rukh Khan is very much a part of my family. He hasn’t fallen on the wayside. He and his wife and three children will always be family and a large part of my life,” he said.
Speaking at the ninth edition of Jaipur Literature festival on Thursday, this 43-year-old actor-director opened up a lot about the darkness behind the glams and glitz of the film industry. Even after being ‘bff’ to most of the people of this industry, he feels B-Town to be the toughest place to get friends.
In such a scenario, KJo also added that his relationship with SRK and his family is so strong that it was difficult for them to part ways.
“I don’t deny there have been ups and downs. But this connect is so strong, the love that I have for him and his family his very strong. All relationships go through pressure and hurdles, but it does not take away the core love that exists,” he said.
During a session with Shobhaa De at the event, the topic came up against the report on fallout between the close friends and long time colleagues that surfaced when the actor did not make his customary appearance on the last season of ‘Koffee with Karan.’
A proof to that is their co-production of yet-untitled project directed by Gauri Shinde. The film, which will not have a ‘typical romance,’ will see actress Alia Bhatt sharing screen space with SRK for the first time.
