Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s first appearance together on ‘Bigg Boss 9’ created a sort of a history on Indian television as the duo made a memorable entry on the show on a bike like Jai and Veeru in ‘Sholay’ and danced on each other’s hit tracks, to even breaking out into impromptu bear hugs.
This was the first time Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were seen together on stage since their infamous fight in 2007. The special episode (on December 19) reflected an endearing bromance between the stars, who were examples of an unmatchable on screen ‘chemistry’.
While the 49-year-old Salman Khan exhibited his usual irreverent style and cheekiness, a more subdued Shah Rukh Khan matched his friend’s energy with his wit and impeccable sense of humour. Their contrasting personalities looked a perfect match, showing the pair’s new-found comfort level with each other.
Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are considered each other’s biggest competitors in Bollywood and their so-called professional rivalry always makes news. Taking a jibe at this, Shah Rukh said to Salman, “While we were busy fighting, Aamir Khan paced ahead of us and left us behind. We kept fighting among ourselves and he went ahead.”
The ‘Happy New Year’ star praised Salman’s hosting stint, saying, ‘Bigg Boss’ has got a “zabardast, permanent” host in the actor.
When a fan asked them how much they missed each other during their fight, Shah Rukh said, “We knew there would be no issue. Our families knew no one could bring us together. Only we could decide about our patch up.”
Salman Khan added, “Neither I spoke bad about Shah Rukh nor did he about me. We never separated.”
They were later joined by Kajol, who has worked with them in many successful films. The trio starred in “Karan Arjun” and blockbuster romantic drama “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”.
The actress first danced on “Gerua” with her “Dilwale” co-star and later played a game with both Shah Rukh and Salman. Shah Rukh and Kajol, then, went inside the ‘Bigg Boss 9’ house to spend time with the contestants.
