Jinx lifted? Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara likely to debut as Hrithik Roshan’s leading lady

We’re guessing Saif is doing all he can to help his little girl enjoy her entry into the industry.

After launching Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jhanvi, Karan Johar is set to give yet another star child a break. This time around, it’s Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara from his previous marriage to actress Amrita Singh. Sara Ali Khan will reportedly star in a comedy drama and share screen space with none other than Hrithik Roshan. Now, if that’s not a great start to a promising career, we don’t know what is, if it is true, that is.

The movie will be directed by Karan Malhotra, who also debuted under Johar’s Dharma Productions banner, with his first film Agneepath. Malhotra and Hrithik wanted to collaborate once again for the period drama Shuddhi after working on Agneepath, but Hrithik had to bow out of the movie due to a clash in his schedule for filming Bang Bang. Now, the pair has a chance to reunite with the upcoming comedy.

Sara has had a somewhat rough ride regarding her debut in the film industry. According to a report in Firstpost, Sara was earlier set to make her debut in Johar’s sequel to Student of the Year. However, the actress declined the role after her mother had a disagreement with Johar. She was then slated to star in a Hindi remake of the teen hit The Fault In Our Stars, opposite Ishaan Khattar, Shahid Kapoor’s brother. However, even that project eventually got shelved.

She was again rumoured to appear as Ranveer Singh’s romantic interest in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boys, but since then, no development has taken place with regards to the movie’s casting. One can only hope that her latest project with Hrithik comes to pass and Sara gets a smooth ride in Bollywood here on out. We’re guessing Saif is doing all he can to help his little girl enjoy her entry into the industry. Well, perhaps the jinx has finally lifted!
