Actor Irrfan has accused Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s film ‘Kabali’ of stealing the poster of his upcoming thriller “Madaari”, but said that it is not an issue if people watch both their movies.
The posters see the faces of the lead actors Irrfan and Rajinikanth from one side with numerous buildings and skyscrapers standing horizontally in the background.
The 49-year-old actor said,”Even I did not know that. We are small filmmakers… I saw that Rajinikanthji ki film ne humara poster chori kar liya”
“You see their film’s poster and our film’s poster. No issues. You watch his film and our film too.” he added.
The ‘The Lunchbox’ star was speaking at a mall in Mumbai on Monday while promoting ‘Madaari’.
The Madaari poster is the official poster of the film, but according to fans of Rajinikanth the ‘Kabali’ poster in question is a fan-made one and not the official one.
While Rajinikanth had shared only two posters on his Twitter account last year.
About his film Madaari, Irrfan said: “The film is a thriller, the film is talking about you. It is talking about 150 crore people, that there is a hero in every person and when that person wakes up then no one can face that person.”
Both the films will release on July 15.
