‘Baahubali’ movie, one of the most successful movies ever released in India, which easily outmatched the top Bollywood heroes’ all-time box office collections figures is back in the news. This time people are not talking about its earnings, yet, but about climate change, global warming, fighting plollution and the like with leading roles (read lending muscle power) in saving Mother Earth being played by none other than Rana Daggubati, SS Rajamouli, Prabhas and Shobu Yarlagadda.

Gathered in Hyderabad for the shooting of ‘Baahubali 2’, the team lent its considerable heft to the Haritha Haram campaign by planting tree saplings at Ramoji Film City (RFC) – a drive that took Twitter, at least by storm on Monday.

The ‘Green Hyderabad’ scheme is run by the Teleangana government and the Baahubali team gave up their shooting schedule to make sure they promoted the initiative.

With tens of thousands of followers on their social media accounts, the formidable team took to Twitter to give this scheme a leg-up. Rana Daggubati tweeted: “Began the day by planting in Ramanaidu studios Nanakramguda abd ended by planting in Ramoji film city. #HarithaHaram.”

The scheme was also promoted on Twitter by Shobu Yarlagadda, who said, “Team @BaahubaliMovie participated in #HarithaHaram a program to increase green cover by Govt.of Telangana.”

The good work done by planting saplings was also put up in the form of a video on the official ‘Baahubali’ Twitter handle and asked fans to promote this initiative in every way they can.
