Recently, Aamir Khan approached the superstar for help as he wanted Rajinikanth to lend his voice for the film's Tamil version.
Dangal is one of the most hotly anticipated movies of this month and who wouldn’t want to be associated with this sports biopic and megastar Aamir Khan? The answer to that question is southern superstar Rajinikanth. Recently, Aamir approached the superstar for help as he wanted Rajini to lend his voice for the film’s Tamil version. But it turns out, Thalaiva turned down Aamir’s offer politely, according to a report in DNA. While it’s unknown why he refused to help out Aamir, we do know that the 2.0 actor has a lot on his plate.
Even though Rajinikanth didn’t want to dub for Dangal, we’re guessing there’s no bad blood between him and Aamir. Their relationship goes back a long, long way. The pair had worked together in the 1995 film Aatank Hi Aatank, a crime thriller which was largely based on the iconic actor Marlon Brando’s equally famous movie The Godfather. Still, Rajinikanth not dubbing for Dangal is a loss for fans. This would have been a massive treat for them as they wait for his new movie to release.
Even though he turned 65 today, the star refused to celebrate his birthday and even asked his fans to refrain from doing so. His publicist said that the reason for this was former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s death on December 5. He had not celebrated his birthday last year either when Chennai was ravaged by floods.
Despite his birthday being a low-key affair this year, the actor’s 2.0 co-star Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to wish him, writing, “When you know you’re in the Presence of Greatness!! Happy Birthday Dearest @superstarrajini Sir, the Supreme Galaxy to our SuperStars.” PM Modi and Virendar Sehwag wished the actor on his special day as well.
