When it comes to festivities, there is no city that can compete with Hyderabad in terms of sheer colour, raucousness, or even style. While that is usually applied to religious fests, we find that another kind of deity is celebrated just as vibrantly. Yes, we are talking about Rajinikanth’s Kabali and how the public holds him in reverence, even going to the extent of treating him virtually like a god.
Keeping this spirit in mind, the cinema crazy population of Hyderabad city has set out to show how much they love their Rajinikanth on the day that his latest movie hit theatres across India.
On the streets and in homes, we see fans performing aarti by bathing mammoth Rajinikanth posters with milk and then setting of ear-splitting crackers. Cars with cutouts/posters/stickers of the actor, people flaunting T-shirts and more are everywhere on the streets with Rajinikanth’s Kabali face emblazoned boldly on the front and the back – they can be seen everywhere. “Rajnikanth is ultimate. He is the best human being in the world. So we don’t want to see the cinema. We just want to see the Rajni frame,” a fan told ANI.
Not just that, people are besotted with the Rajinikanth message even. His ‘teachings’, rendered through dialogue in films, have moved his fans enough for them to try and implement them in their own lives. Here is what another fan has to say, “We have learnt a lot of things from Rajni sir. If we implement the message he gives in our lives, then our lives will be happier”.
Rajinikanth, clearly, does not just span the world of cinema like a giant, he even manages to dominate the minds of millions of his fans.
