Priyanka Chopra's gown for the Oscars is the seventh most searched topic on Google.
Priyanka Chopra just presented an award at this year’s Oscars, but that doesn’t mean that the actress didn’t grab eyeballs with the strapless white gown she wore to the event. Yesterday, she tweeted that her Zuhair Murad gown was the seventh most-searched dress in Google’s end-of-the-year lists in the Oscar fashion category. “So delighted that my Oscar outfit featured in @Google’s #YearInSearch! Thank you for the love! #ZuhairMurad,” she wrote.
Priyanka opted for a minimalist look in the lace gown, accessorizing it with a thin silver belt and studded earrings. And clearly, fans worldwide adored her wardrobe. Given that it was one of Hollywood’s most glamorous nights of the year and the actress had some stiff competition in the fashion department, the Google ranking is no small feat. Priyanka beat out the likes of Titanic star Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett and Olivia Wilde. Jennifer Garner took the top spot with her strapless black dress, which the actress revealed almost crushed her ribs. She was followed by Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron, Rachel McAdams, Brie Larson and Alicia Vikander respectively.
It’s been a year of many firsts for Priyanka. The actress won the People’s Choice Awards earlier this year for her role in Quantico and she landed a role in her Hollywood debut, Baywatch, which will come out in theatres next year. The Dil Dhadakne Do star has also been nominated once again for next year’s People’s Choice Award in the category of Best Dramatic Actress. Not only that, but she further became the newest Global Goodwill Ambassador of the UN earlier this week, joining the ranks of Jackie Chan and David Beckham. Let’s hope her winning streak continues and she keeps nailing it in fashion, movies and her charity work. Good luck, PC!
