Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PDP) box office collections: By day 11, the movie's domestic box office collections had soared to Rs 193.22 and globally, the movie earned Rs 279.22 in total
Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) set the box office collections space on fire from the day of release itself as it opened at Rs 40.35 crore and found itself in the cozy Rs 100-crore club within three days of release. By day 11, the movie’s domestic box office collections had soared to Rs 193.22 and globally, the movie earned Rs 279.22 in total.
While in the beginning Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which was one of Bollywood’s most anticipated films, and marked the reunion of actor Salman Khan and director Sooraj Barjatya after a long time, and, as mentioned earlier, it took off to on a high note with audience flocking theatres, which was even aided by an extended holiday weekend, the film did not break any records at all, coming, at best in No. 2 slot. In fact, PRDP collections comes in second on the opening week collections list, missing the top slot to Salman’s own earlier release Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
On global front, the records trend has held true too, but with PRDP collections, which have soared to approximately to Rs 88.33 crore at the close of its second weekend, has managed to enter the ‘All Time Top Grossers’ charts in select markets. While in the New Zealand box office it is ranked 1st, in the the Australia box office it is ranked 7th, and North America box office it is ranked 9th.
In the second weekend, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has grossed $438,662 from 283 screens in the US, $163,382 from 24 screens in Canada, £2,16,899 from 103 screens in the UK, A$1,18,146 from 30 screens in Australia, NZ $99,180 from 27 screens in New Zealand, MYR 29,788 from 16 screens in Malaysia and €3,650 from 21 in Germany.
