Watch Pathaan Trailer: Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogues and action sequences leave fans wanting more

Shahrukh Khan Pathan Trailer Release: After making the fans wait for long, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham’s Pathaan trailer is finally out. The Siddharth Anand directorial looks like a treat for every SRK fan who has been waiting for a film from him since 2018. Pathaan is scheduled to release in the theaters on January 25.

In the beginning of the trailer, we can hear a voiceover by Dimple Kapadia talking about a private terror group’s mission against India, spearheaded by John Abraham. To fight him and save the countrt, there is Pathaan, who has to end his ‘vanvaas’ (exile). Here enters Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan saying, “Party pathaan ke ghar rakhoge toh mehmaannawazi ke liye Pathaan toh aayega, aur pathaake bhi layega”. Salman Khan’s cameo has been kept under wraps by YRF. We get glimpses of Deepika Padukone and her various looks. The action sequences will leave you asking for me.

Ever since Pathaan has been announced, the is creating a lot of noise for reasons both good and bad. The film’s teaser released on Shah Rukh’s 57th birthday in November last year had raised the expectations of his fans. However, when the film’s first song ‘Besharam Rang’ dropped on December 12, it attracted a lot of criticism. The song got mired in controversy for the colour of Deepika Padukone’s costumes.

What was the controversy all about?

Titled Besharam Rang, the song features Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone serenading each other in Europe’s exotic location. Narottam Mishra, Madhya Pradesh home minister, in a press conference, said that the song ‘has been shot with a dirty mindset’. He also added that the costumes in the song at first glance are ‘objectionable’. He also demanded makers to fix the costumes or they will have to think if Pathaan gets a release in Madhya Pradesh.

Shah Rukh Khan’s take on the controversy

While Pathaan’s actors and director refused to comment on the controversy, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about negativity on social media at the Kolkata International Film Festival. Without mentioning Pathaan, he said, “Social media is often given by a certain driven narrowness of view that limits human nature to its baser self. I read somewhere that negativity increases social media consumption, and thereby increases its commercial value as well. Such pursuits enclose the collective narrative, making it divisive and destructive”. Talking about how cinema fosters amity and brotherhood, he added, “No matter what, people like us will stay positive”.

Pathaan also features a cameo by Salman Khan. It also stars actors Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia.
