Actor Shraddha Kapoor has quit Olympian and badminton star Saina Nehwal\u2019s biopic after being associated with the project since September. T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror, saying that Shraddha has been replaced by Parineeti Chopra in Amole Gupte\u2019s film. Confirming the latest development, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series head, said they want to wrap up Saina biopic by this year-end for an early 2020 release, so going ahead with the project is a decision taken by mutual consent. They are glad Parineeti has come on board for the film. Saina has made every Indian proud and we can\u2019t wait to take her story to the world in the year of the Olympics. The biopic on Nehwal is being directed by filmmaker Amol Gupte. Shraddha reportedly even trained under Indian team head coach Pullela Gopichand for over a month-and-a-half to get into the role of a badminton player. The actor has films like Chhichhore, Street Dancer 3D, Saaho and Baaghi 3 in her kitty. Talking about being a part of the sports biopic, Parineeti said that she was dying to do a sports-based film. It is a part of her personality as an actor that she has never explored, and she is so happy that she gets to portray a strong and powerful girl like Saina. She is excited to put in all the training and hard work that comes with learning the game of Badminton and portraying Saina on screen. T-Series\u2019 Bhushan Kumar will produce the biopic.
