Mersal: Superstar actor Thalapathy Vijay movie becomes 1st Tamil film to create this big record, know what it is!
Superstar Vijay starrer Tamil movie Mersal is scheduled to be released on October 18. Even before its release Thalapathy Vijay movie Mersal has created a record. Mersal is the first movie set to be released in Japan on Diwali weekend in 4 locations and this is the highest for any Tamil movie so far. Famous movie industry tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Mersal will release in #Japan #Diwali weekend in 4 location.. Highest for a Tamil movie..” Mersal has created a lot of buzz before its release. Even its Twitter emoji is also one of the talked about items on internet. Mersal release was cleared by the Madras High Court on October 6. The court had previously restrained the producers of the film from using the word Mersal in its title on a civil suit filed last month. Mersal has been directed by Atlee Kumar, who has co- written the script with “Baahubali” writer KV Vijayendra Prasad. It is Vijay’s second film with Atlee after “Theri”.

The movie also features Kajal Aggarwal, who is working with Vijay for the third time after “Thuppakki” and “Jilla”. “Mersal” also features Samantha, Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Sathyan, SJ Suryah and Yogi Babu. AR Rahman has composed the music for the film.
According to IMDB, Mersal is all about ‘”A magician comes to India and finds his long lost brother who is a doctor in USA. He learns about his identity and decides to take revenge for those who killed his parents.”
Talking about the film director Atlee, superstar Vijay said, “I admire Atlee a lot, especially his confidence. Mersal is not a project which can be completed in just six to eight months. But he has wrapped it up with ease.”
