The series will portray the story of Avni, an illegitimate child, whose father left her and her muslim mother Asha while she was a child.

Avni will be played by Arsheen Namdar along with actors like Barkha Bisht, Viraf Patel, Sayantani Ghosh and others.

Sharing daddy’s excitement, daughter Alia Bhatt too took to her Twitter handle to share, “And it finally begins!!! Please do take your time out to watch this special show…With a very special young girl!”

Looks like, Star Plus has brought this very realistic series as a replacement to the very popular ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum,’ which went off air recently.
