Lucknow Central box office collection day 4: Lucknow Central, Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty starrer movie, has not been impressive and received lukewarm reviews. The film had a weak opening at the box-office i.e Rs 2.04 crore. According to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film earned Rs 1 crore on Monday taking its total to Rs 8.39 crore. On Sunday, however, the film had raked in Rs 3.56 crore. In the overseas market, the film collected Rs. 1.52 lacs in Australia from 11 screens while in New Zealand the collections were Rs. 30,220 from 7 screens. This prison tale did not get the best of Farhan Akhtar out in the open and that was the only thing that could have got this film out of jail – and the same is reflected in its earnings. The film’s collection will certainly dip in the coming week. Therefore, this week’s collection will decide whether Ranjit Tiwari directorial movie will be a hit or a flop.

The makers of the film did little to no promotion in the run-up to its release, which was one of the reasons behind its poor start. Moreover, the movie didn’t have too many known faces apart from Farhan to woo the audience. Bad reviews mean that it will be tough for the movie to pick up in the coming days as well.
