Kamal Haasan has three national awards and a good number of hits in both south Indian and north Indian cinema – he’s a star in his own right. But KRK or Kamaal Rashid Khan clearly doesn’t think so. When veteran Carnatic musician M. Balamuralikrishna passed away earlier this week, Kamal was one of the many people who took to Twitter to express his grief. “81 yrs Mahaguru Dr. Balamurali enthralled millions with music. Thanks 2 technology even death cant silence his voice. Pranam guruji & goodbye,” he tweeted. And that’s precisely when KRK thought it was appropriate to insult the actor out of the blue. “Mr. @ikamalhaasan you have only 367000 followers, means you are Chai Cum Paani compare to Me Me Me the no. 1 critic and superstar KRK,” he wrote.
Kamal has not replied to the insulting tweet, probably because he’s busy filming his latest project Shabaash Naidu, which is a tri-lingual film, according to a Deccan Chronicle report. Or another reason could be that he’s just not bothered by KRK or his opinions. However, fans of the actor reacted immediately to the tweet, calling KRK insensitive, not just because he attacked Kamal for no apparent reason, but also because he chose to mock a condolence tweet.
