For weeks now, there have been constant rumours about Kareena Kapoor Khan sharing screen space with her ex beau Shahid Kapoor in the upcoming film Udta Punjab and now it seems that the actress has finally given a nod. While many of the recent projects that were signed by the actress were either postponed or shelved, we now hear, that the actress has already started preparing for this Abhishek Chaubey directorial.

In fact, it is being said that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been learning Punjabi to get the nuances of her character right in Udta Punjab. She will be training with a college professor to perfect her Punjabi for the film. Though Kareena belongs to a Punjabi family and has played a Punjabi in several of her films, she has always spoken ‘broken’ Hindi -Punjabi in real life and decided to get formally trained in the language at this juncture, given that most of her dialogues in Udta Punjab are in the traditional Punjabi language.

Sources reveal that a professor from Delhi will be training Kareena in a ten day crash course and she will start the workshop post the shoot of her special song in Karan Johar’s Brothers.

Produced by Phantom Productions, Udta Punjab also stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The film which is based on the drug mafia and its deep rooted nexus in Punjab is slated to go on floors in February.
