Comedian Kapil Sharma has thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra for showing “concern” towards his alleged problem with the BMC. After setting the social media buzz with his jibe on PM Modi’s ‘achche din’ claim early in the morning today, Kapil replied to the CM from his verified account on the micro-blogging site that he wants to discuss his problem after meeting in “person”. “@Dev_Fadnavis thank u so much for ur concern sir.. Would like to come n discuss this matter with u in person,” he replied.

However, the Twitterati didn’t like Kapil’s response, considering he had made the allegation against BMC and attacked PM Modi in public.

Kapil had claimed that he had to pay a bribe of Rs 5 lakh for the construction work of his office. He also tagged PM Narendra Modi, asking if this is the ‘achche din’ promised by him.

Both Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the richest civic body in the country, were quick to respond to Kapil’s allegations.

Fadnavis assured Sharma that the culprit will be caught.“Kapilbhai pls provide all info. Have directed MC, BMC to take strict action. We will not spare the culprit,” Fadnavis tweeted out to Sharma within hours.

The BMC, which regularly faces corruption charges, asked Sharma to make a formal complaint and name the officer who demanded the bribe from him. BJP MLA Ram Kadam filed a complaint against the BMC over Kapil’s allegation.

Noting that the allegation made by Kapil is serious, Pawar asked for the name of the official who asked for bribe. “We will strongly act against the concerned officials if they are found guilty,” Pawar said.
