Even as Kangana Ranaut’s latest film Simran may not be getting best reviews and the earnings are not matching the pre-release hype either, the movie has garnered Rs 10.65 crore by day 3 (opening weekend). The movie had released along with Farhan Akhtar starrer Lucknow Central. Simran is doing much better business than Farhan Akhtar’s film, but that would be cold comfort for her and the filmmakers.
The actress has spoken about her tough days in Bollywood industry. Recently, the ‘Queen’ actress had got embroiled in another controversy when she called Karan Johar the ‘movie mafia’, ‘the flag bearer of nepotism’ on the chat show, ‘Koffee With Karan.’ Indian Express added. The movie has been directed by Hansal Mehta. In the movie, Kangana plays the role of a Gujarati girl named Praful Patel. ‘Simran’ is Kangana Ranaut’s second release this year after ‘Rangoon’.
