Even as Kangana Ranaut's latest film Simran may not be getting best reviews and the earnings are not matching the pre-release hype either, the movie has garnered Rs 10.65 crore by day 3 (opening weekend). The film which did\u00a0 Rs 2.77 crore in the first day, showed upward trend on Saturday by accumulating Rs 3.76 crore. The movie earned\u00a0 Rs 4.12 crore on Sunday, Indian Express said. The movie had released along with Farhan Akhtar starrer Lucknow Central. Simran is doing much better business than Farhan Akhtar's film, but that would be cold comfort for her and the filmmakers. The actress has spoken about her tough days in Bollywood industry. Recently, the 'Queen' actress had got embroiled in another controversy when she called Karan Johar the \u2018movie mafia\u2019, \u2018the flag bearer of nepotism\u2019 on the chat show, \u2018Koffee With Karan.\u2019 Indian Express added. The movie has been directed by Hansal Mehta. In the movie, Kangana plays the role of a Gujarati girl named Praful Patel. \u2018Simran\u2019 is Kangana Ranaut\u2019s second release this year after \u2018Rangoon\u2019. Rangoon did not click at the Box Office either. Total: \u20b9 8.42 cr. India biz.\u201d The movie also has Diana Penty, Ronit Roy and Deepak Dobriyal in important roles, Indian Express said.
