Kabali box office collections: Where will the Kabali collections head to now? They have neared the Rs 200 crore mark in India alone and the take is being fattened day by day by the surprising even fantastic numbers that are being thrown up on a daily basis especially by the foreign markets. According to some analysts the international markets are generating such big numbers that they have left the Indian collections in the shade. And that is when the Malaysia numbers are not entirely married to the equation and we are left guessing about the entire equation.

Aside from S Thanu who went the whole hog about the Kabali numbers, no other figure or filmmaker has stepped forward with a statement that puts the data in perspective. Short of that, we have the figures that include Rs 200 cr in marketing and other revenues that Kabali generated. Then we have about Rs 185 crore generated by the Indian markets and another, if we follow one particular analyst who has quoted a figure as high as Rs 246 crore received from the international market.

With these figures ruling the roost on day 7, and crowds still large enough at theaters despite a number of criticisms emerging about the movie as it completes a week in the cinemas, what is increasingly being feared is that the movie has quit working as much as was indicated in the wake of the movie just being released.

We have already indicated the film may well have crossed the Rs 600 crore, but that is yet to be substantiated as data is still incomplete. Till the final word on this exercise is said there is going to a big question mark hanging on the whole isue.

What would ideally clear up the issue and throw up transparency instantly is if Rajinikanth himself comes and backs a certain set of numbers so that the row is laid to rest. But that is unlikely to happen. After all, even the Bollywood stars refuse to do that. Whether it is Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan or others, none of them has done so ever.
