Haseeno Ka Deewana from Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil was released yesterday, featuring Urvashi Rautela.
The full video for the highly anticipated item number of Hrithik Roshan’s revenge drama Kaabil, Haseeno Ka Deewana, was released yesterday and let’s just say Kishore Kumar, who sang the original, would not approve of it. The debacle starts of with Hrithik’s character threatening the antagonist, it’s a tense beginning. But then, suddenly we see Urvashi Rautela mouthing words to the song. The contrast in itself starts Haseeno on a jarring note.
Don’t get us wrong, Urvashi tries her best to pull off the awkward choreography with oomph, but the moves seem more like spasms and that’s something no actress can help with. The song itself is a riot of loud drums, giving the original melody very little scope to shine through. The video is interspersed with clips from the film where Hrithik is formulating a plan to kill the baddies. And let’s not forget that this is all about Hrithik avenging his girlfriend who has been brutally raped and killed by goons. When you know this and you’ve already seen Kaabil Hoon, where Hrithik and Yami Gautam give you relationship goals, it’s hard not to find Haseeno Ka Deewana a vulgar contrast to the theme of the film.
Kaabil is set to clash with Raees on January 25 next year and the movies are being compared on every angle. So even though Raees’ Laila O Laila remix hasn’t been released, we’re still going to put our money on Sunny Leone’s item number with Shahrukh Khan. At least we got a glimpse of the Baby Doll star in the trailer of Raees and in terms of Urvashi and Sunny’s wardrobe, it’s Sunny’s win.
Even though the 1981 original had Amitabh in a jacket studded with light bulbs, in our opinion, even he looks better than Urvashi does in the remix.
