The killing of Jon Snow, one of the beloved parts on the fantasy drama, had shocked “Game of Thrones” fans in the finale of season five but the second episode of season 6 will throw up a major surprise about the character.
Fans never believed that Snow had died for good unlike so many other loved characters who met gruesome end on the show and the second episode “Home” has proved them right.
The episode, set to air on May 3 on Star World Premiere in India, shows the much awaited return of John Snow.
Melisandre, through the use of an incantation, resuscitated the late (now living) Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.
Kit Harrington, who plays the much beloved character on the show, finally broke his silence and apologised to fans for lying.
“I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone,” Harington said in a candid interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.”
The return of John Snow was predicted by a host of fans as the makers maintained that he was gone for good.
