The film is expected to pick up further on Sunday and looks set to enter the 100-crore club. Akshay Kumar had a terrific 2016 and all releases: Airlift, Rustom and Housefull 3 went on to earn more than Rs. 100 crore on the box-office. He also received critical acclaim for his roles in these films and even his cameo in Dishoom was appreciated. While Airlift earned Rs. 129 crores, Rustom and Housefull 3 were able to cash in Rs. 127.42 crores and Rs. 107.7 crores respectively.
At this rate, Jolly LLB will soon surpass the collection of previous part that stands at Rs. 37 crore. However, it has to be remembered that the first film didn’t have any big name while this one has the backing of Akshay’s stardom.
