Jolly LLB 2 earned total of Rs 77 crore.
Jolly LLB 2 box office collections day 7: Even though three new films hit theatres on Friday, audiences had no qualms spending on Akshay Kumar’s legal drama just the day before. According to Bollywood Hungama, Jolly LLB 2 earned Rs 5.03 crore on Thursday (day 7), proving that Akshay’s stronghold over Bollywood’s audience is a force to be reckoned with. The film’s total earnings now stand Rs 77.71 crore, given that on an average, the film pulled in Rs 11 crore each of its seven days of release. If it can continue this trend (mostly by pulling in some massive crowds over the weekend), Jolly LLB 2 tread into the Rs 100 Crore Club should be quite easy.
Although this weekend, the movie has to share theatres with The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi and Irada, none of these films has enough to topple Akshay from the top spot. The biggest star out of these releases is Rana Daggubati or possible Naseeruddin Shah, so Jolly’s week 2 should be similar to its week 1 – with a relatively slower pace at the box office. Currently, a sum of Rs 22.29 crore stands between Akshay and the covetted club.

Three of Akshay’s earlier films Housefull, Rustom aand Airlift have all manage to make over Rs 100 crore. If Jolly LLB 2 doesn’t make Rs 100 crore, it will become Akshay’s first film to not reach that mark since 2016. As this is Akshay’s first film of 2017, it should set the pace for the offerings he has for this current year. Akshay’s realiability as a leading man, however, remains quite solid. In fact, in a first of one Bollywood star producing another, Salman Khan threw his weight behind Akshay as a producer and is funding the action star’s upcoming film, directed by Karan Johar.
