Jai Simha box office collection day 1: For Nandamuri Balakrishna, the Simhaa series has worked well so far. Keeping up this trend comes KS Ravikumar directorial Jai Simha which also marks Balakrishna 102nd film. The good news is that the film has started off on a very good note for the makers and the overseas collections speak volumes of the film’s success. Balakrishna starrer film in the USA box office has earned $ 107,512 which is equivalent to Rs 68.35 lakh. The film has been released in 84 locations and the response so far is magnificent. Balakrishna reunites with Nayanthara for the third time after blockbusters such as Simhaa and Sri Rama Rajyam. Apart from Nayanthara, the film will also star Natasha Doshni and Bigg Boss fame Hari Priya.
The film has been panned for being a stereotype in its approach showing those same action sequences, actresses whose only job is to look good in the film making it an all-in-all male dominant film. Nayanthara has no job to do. She is on the screen to just woo Balakrishna and her character’s ultimate dream is to marry this macho man and have a family, so does the other supporting actresses.
As the trailer starts, Nandamuri Balakrishna gets the cliched entrance. His dialogues are powerful but as an audience, you just know that you have heard all of this before. It is a delight for those who love to watch a complete mass film with a lot of fight sequences but since it has nothing new to offer, even in the aspect of the storyline, the trailer fails to keep your attention intact.
