Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan has always ruled hearts of ladies worldwide. Be it “Rahul” from “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” or Raj in “DDLJ”, the romantic side of the actor has always pumped the hearts of his female fans. We all have scene the actor in multiple roles in real as well as in reel life; but the Poetic side of the actor at an event, stunned the ladies. At a recent book launch event honouring women leaders, Bollywood’s Bashah recited a poem for the women leaders.
Ackowledging how women in this world shaped his life, which includes his mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, co-stars etc, the 50 year old actor said “My life has been completely shaped by women, starting from my grandmother to my daughter now and in between my wife, aunts, didis in colonies, my leading ladies and women directors with whom I have worked. They have helped me achieve 100 per cent of what I am today. I wouldn’t be half a man without these women. I owe my life to them”
SRK was present at a book launch event – “She Walks, She Leads” by Gunjan Jain. The book features 24 women from all walks of life, including top nothces like Nita Ambani, Chanda Kochhar and Swati Piramal.
At the event Shahrukh also narrated a self written poem, which he wrote after being inspired Zayn Malik.
The poem talks about the strength of a girl who has made mistakes, regrets, secrets and dreams, one, who falls but never gives up.
An excerpt of the poem reads: ” This is for girls who stay up all night, This is for you who are willing to fight;
For hidden fears, hurt, pain and tears, under the smiles laugh and giggles we hear; let your hair down, straight or curls, you are beautiful because you fight like a girl.”
