Indian Army’s surgical strike on terror camps: Bollywood celebs shower praise on the Army, PM Modi

Post the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army on the terror base along Line Of Control (LoC) on Wednesday night, the Army and central government received massive support from politicians, twitteratti and other people. Bollywood celebrities, too, were quick to extend their support and laud India’s impressive and apt response.

Hailing the surgical strikes on terror launch pads, B-Town luminaries like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and more others, congratulated the Army and government alike.

Most celebs took to social media to express their views. Amitabh Bachchan said, “Don’t mess with Indian army.”. Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Proud of the Indian Army for successfully carrying out the anti-terrorism operation. Glad the Government took this bold step,was about time!,”.

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “Thnx Indian army for the action against terrorism.V should all pray for safety & well being of our Indian soldiers”

Farhan Akhtar said, “In full support of the Indian Army and its effort to root out terrorism. #respect”. Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar also voiced her support and tweeted, “Namaskar. Mujhe garv hai hamare veer jawano pe,hamare pradhan mantri ji aur raksha mantri ji pe. (I am proud of our brave soldiers, our Prime Minister and Defense Minister) Jai Hind! Vande Mataram.”

Sonakshi Sinha and John Abraham said that this attack should have been done earlier. They said, “we are proud. It is high time we respond to terrorism”. John Abraham added, “we are a very tolerant country, and we should put our foot done and prove ourselves.”
