Happy Teachers Day 2016: Bollywood has come out in strength to express their gratitude for their teachers. While some waxed eloquent, others were cheeky while some tried to be irreverent. Nevertheless, they were all smiling recalling their days at school. So, check out what Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Rampal, Kartik Aarya, Shilpa Shetty and more have to say about their days at school, this Teachers Day:
Happy Teachers Day 2016: As can be expected, ‘serial kisser’ Emraan Hashmi says that he most fondly recalls that he had a crush on one of his teachers. “When I was in third or fourth standard I had a crush on my teacher. But one of my best teachers has been my maths professor who really worked very hard. He was my tuition teacher and used to keep classes at 4.30 in the morning. Imagine, waking up that early”.
Happy Teachers Day 2016: However, Arjun Rampal had a totally different take! He actually turned Emraan’s statement on its head and said that, “I think the teachers had a crush on me. I knew how I had to get out of trouble. I was my teachers favourite, both as a good and naughty boy.”
Happy Teachers Day 2016: He may be on on-screen villain, most recently in “Dabangg”, but Sonu Sood clearly was in the good books of teachers. He said, “I was great as a student, very sincere and obedient. I was always my teachers’ favourite as I was a very serious student”.
Happy Teachers Day 2016: Dishing out more ‘different’ masala was Daisy Shah, “I was good at studying but never wanted to study. I would like to play a student than a teacher on screen. For all the masti and not controlling people.”
Happy Teachers Day 2016: Amyra Dastur says she always aced her exams, but that was not the road she wanted to travel. She said, “I was definitely one of the least well-behaved students. I always back-answered. But I was always let off the hook because I managed to attain 90 percent in all my subjects.” (With inputs from PTI)
