After opening on a massive note last week, the Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year (HNY)continues its successful run at the box office this week as well. On the other hand, Roar: Tigers of the Sunderbans, Fireflies and Super Nani that released today have opened on a low note.

As expected HNY continues to remain as the audiences first choice, although the film is expected to face stiff competition in metros from Hollywood releases Ben Affleck’s Gone Girl and Brad Pitt’s Fury.

At the end of first week, Happy New Year box office collections stand at Rs 185.16 crore with Rs 157.57 crore from the domestic market and Rs 27.60 crore from abroad.

Among the new Bollywood releases, the Rekha starrer Super Nani is expected to fare better than the rest.

Now all eyes are on the Akshay Kumar starrer The Shaukeens that releases next week.
