Devgn has proved through Golmaal Again that he continues to be one of the best stars at the BO. Added to the miracle money the film is making is the fact that it is a franchise.
Golmaal Again box office collection day 6: Ajay Devgn has made a movie that is refusing to say die. Even after so many days since release, it is still managing to earn in double figures and that is no mean achievement – only the movies by the top stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar do that generally. Devgn has proved through Golmaal Again that he continues to be one of the best stars at the BO. Added to the miracle money the film is making is the fact that it is a franchise. That it has stayed relevant through the years speaks volumes for the actor as well as the cast’s abilities to keep refreshing the content. The result can be seen by the fact that it has broken a number of records in 2017. Bollywood industry definitely needed a hit like this, Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 in 2017 as otherwise it was in a bad state as even other superstars’ movies had not done so well.
This Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tabu, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu starrer has been in cinemas now for 6 days and it has been able to pull in as big an amount as Rs 10.05 Cr! This comes in wake of this massive performance –
Day 1 (Fri) – 30.14 Cr.
Day 2 (Sat) – 28.37 Cr.
Day 3 (Sun) – 29.09 Cr.
Day 4 (Mon) – 16.04 Cr.
Day 5 (Tue) – 13.25 Cr.

While Golmaal Again box office collection in the domestic market is Rs 126.94 Cr, the worldwide gross is Rs 183.36 Cr.
The movie has done very well indeed for itself courtesy a big word of mouth booster shot and what is more, it is expected to keep on doing so simply because there is no rival movie of its stature to compete against it. The new releases on Friday include Jia and Rukh and they are not expected to pose any kind of challenge. Also, Judwaa 2 is now almost past its shelf life.
