In a sudden turn of events, Vasudha is asked to decorate the presidential suite of the hotel where the owner Aarav (Emraan Hashmi) who plays a millionaire hotelier is staying. Aarav falls in love with Vasudha and offers her a better job. The movie takes some interesting twists and turns from here.

Take the opinion poll, tell us what you think:
At this juncture, Hari, by now a declared terrorist, comes back to Vasudha and abuses her physically and emotionally and imposes himself on her. Vasudha, in short, is caught between her true love and her stranger of a husband.
In between plays out a small story about Aarav’s childhood and the similarity between the lives of Vasudha and Aarav’s mother.
Watch out for some cliched dialogues and moments in the movie.
Performance wise, Emraan Hashmi plays his character with ease. Rajkumar Rao is quite convincing as a male chauvinist husband. Vidya Balan has justified her character with a good performance in the movie as a woman caught between a horrible marriage and true love.
‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride from the beginning till the end. The whole movie is shown as a flashback, which is being read out from Hari’s diary.
Director Mohit Suri has done a good job in ensuring suspense and the topsy turvy nature of the emotional saga.
The direction overall is impressive, dialogues are very impactful, story line and screenplay is good, while the music is soulful and nice.
