For a 50-year-old actor, Aamir Khan has an impressive body in Dangal, all bulked up, and we were all wowed by how much weight he was able to gain and later quickly shed with a great amount of discipline. However, the actor’s dedication to films has come under some fire after fitness coach Ranveer Allahbadia released a video recently on the internet, claiming that the PK actor used steroids to achieve a wrestler’s physique. While Aamir himself has made no comment on the matter, the star’s fitness coach replied to the rumours and didn’t exactly put them to rest.
“It would amount to breach of confidentiality for me to talk about this. All I can say is, steroids are an occupational hazard in the entertainment industry. It would be naïve to believe that its consumption is nil, and to deny its existence,” Rahul Bhatt, who acted as Aamir’s coach during the filming of Dangal, explained. Now, that’s neither here nor there and doesn’t exactly clear up the matter. After all, if there’s nothing to hide, why doesn’t the Dangal team give a straight answer?
According to a report in DNA, Bhatt added, “I am not admitting to anything. Just how my client got that physique, or how any entertainer gets into shape is a matter between the client and the coach. I am not at liberty to talk about this. Let’s put it this way. If I had a son and he wanted to be an actor, I’d never let him mess around with steroids. And only a qualified fitness coach can guide you through a proper regime where you don’t mess up your metabolism with mindless abuse.”
Did Aamir take steroids for the film or is this just an attempt of Allahbadia to get his shot at 15-minutes of fame at the actor’s expense?
