Daddy box office collection prediction: Arjun Rampal will once again hit the silver screen with his movie Daddy in which he plays the character of Arun Gawli, once India’s most feared mobster. The story is based on real life events in politician-turned-gangster Arun Gawli’s life. The movie is set to release on September 8 and despite lacking huge star power, the movie has managed to create a lot of buzz surrounding it. One reason for the hype can be the true events on which the movie is based on. The movie which releases this Friday has already created a buzz with its box office prediction. According to reports, the movie can earn somewhere between Rs 4-5 crore on the first day of its release.

The making of this movie took almost three years and has the involvement of the Gawli family, according to Indian Express. In an interview with Express Arjun Rampal had said that the movie does not glorify any aspect of Gawli’s life but it is left on the audience to form an opinion, for or against it. “Daddy isn’t a propaganda film, we’re not glorifying anything or anybody. It’s going to be a film where the audience will have to form an opinion of him. We’re looking at five decades of Gawli’s life from several points of view — his family, his gang, his rivals, the police — so it’s a balanced film, ” Express quoted Arjun Rampal.

Daddy is a political crime drama and this movie will mark Arjun’s first appearance in a biopic. Arjun was last seen in Kahaani 2 in 2016 playing the role of a cop. The film is directed by Ashim Ahluwalia and has been co-produced by Arjun Rampal and Rutvij Patel, also stars South Indian actress Aishwarya Rajesh.
