After Charlie Sheen admitted to being HIV positive on ‘The Today Show,’ his personal assistant has revealed how he got to know about his diagnosis.
Steve Han, Charlie Sheen’s assistant, revealed that the actor told him about the virus during an emotional chat on New Year’s Eve 2012 and also said that he is “f***ed up.”
In an interview with a tabloid, Han said that during a New Year’s Eve in Cabo, he had got into some drama with one of Charlie’s bodyguards and the guard was giving him a hard time.
Later that night, Charlie and Han spoke about their life problems, when the ‘Anger Management’ actor revealed “I’m HIV positive,” and he was very normal about it.”
Steve also said that Charlie was very strong about it and even reassured him that he has got the right doctor and was being looked after.
The assistant said that he was one of the very few people who knew about Charlie’s diagnosis, adding the star was bombarded by threats of lawsuits from girls desperate to cash in.
Han also revealed that Charlie was not a pill guy at all and constantly missed meals due to his medications.
