Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer Befikre is off to a great start and has already done a business worth Rs 10.36 cr on the Day 1 of its release.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh in his recent tweet has praised the movie. He tweeted: “#Befikre has a double digit start… STRONG at plexes…Fri ₹ 10.36 cr. India biz.”

The Yash Raj film directed by Aditya Chopra has already witnessed around 40-45 per cent occupancy during morning shows, reported Koimoi. The film has successfully drawn audiences to the multiplexes, as compared to single screens. Around 35 per cent of cinemas booked for Befikre are single screens according to Yash Raj Films. Made on a total budget of around Rs 70 cr, the movie has been released on over 2,100 screens in the domestic market and over 800 screens in the overseas market making it a total of 2,900 screens worldwide.
The movie has been into highlights with for its bold scenes and the comeback of Ranveer-Aditya duo. Ranveer, after playing some homespun power-packed roles in movies like Ram-Leela and Baajirao Mastaani, is back with a light-hearted romcom avataar. The movie is also touted to give the the actor an opportunity to explore a different side of his personality.

Audience have appreciated his comic timing in the movie. Director Aditya Chopra has made a directorial comback after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Mohabbatein and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The movie is also much talked-about as this is the first time, Aditya Chopra is doing a movie without Shah Rukh Khan. All his previous movies had SRK in the lead roles.
Vaani Kapoor, who started her career with director Maneesh Sharma’s Suddh Desi Romance, has also been the talk of the town for her renovated looks. Aditya in his recent interview has said that with Befikre, he is trying to break away from the DDLJ formula. However, the weekend is going to be crucial for this rom-com movie as post PM Modi’s demonetisation drive, the only movie that has managed to make profit is SRK and Alia Bhatt’s Dear Zindagi.
