President Barack Obama says his favourite song of 2015 is “How Much a Dollar Cost” by Grammy-nominated rapper Kendrick Lamar.

In an interview with People magazine released yesterday, Obama also shares his favourite book and movie of the year.

They are “Fates and Furies,” a novel about marriage by Lauren Groff, and “The Martian,” starring Matt Damon.

Obama’s wife, Michelle, revealed her picks, too, telling the magazine she can’t get enough of the Bruno Mars song “Uptown Funk.”

She picked another marriage tome, “The Light of the World,” by family friend Elizabeth Alexander, as her favourite book.

Her favourite movie? “Inside Out,” the animated film led by comedian Amy Poehler.
