Baahubali: The Conclusion collection: This spectacular movie has taken Indian cinema by storm – from the North down to the South. While the Indian audience has been left awestruck by SS Rajamouli’s world of fantasy, the box-office pundits are scratching their heads after looking at the unbelievable amount of money the film has minted in its opening weekend. The film is being praised by everyone and it has moved even the ‘Thalaiva’ Rajinikanth to call it a masterpiece. “Baahubali 2 … indian cinema’s pride. 1. Highest single day collection
While it was expected that Baahubali will get a massive opening, the first-day collection figures left most people shocked ‘n awed! According to the figures given by Taran Adarsh, the film went on to earn Rs 121 crore on the first day itself. The previous record was held by Baahubali: The Beginning that went on to earn over Rs 50 crore on day 1.

2. Highest opening for a dubbed film
SS Rajamouli is a well-known face in Telugu industry, especially after his success with Magadheera and Eega which was later dubbed in Hindi as ‘Makkhi’. However, Baahubali was received well by the audience all across the country breaking the record of highest opening for a dubbed film. The Hindi version alone earned Rs 41 Cr on day 1 and it could narrow the gap between Bollywood and South Indian movies in the coming years.
3. First movie to cross Rs 100 Cr in a day
Before the release of Baahubali, only four films had entered the 100-cr club this year according to the figures by bollywoodhungama.com: Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ (Rs 137.51 cr), Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ (Rs 117 cr), Varun Dhawan’s ‘Badrinath ki Dhulania’ (Rs 116.68 cr) and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ (Rs 103.84 cr), but these are figures not collected on day 1, these are lifetime collections. On the other hand, the second instalment of SS Rajamouli’s epic journey earned Rs 100 crore in just a day, becoming the first Indian film to enter the Rs 100 cr club in 24 hours!

4. Highest weekend collection
The movie has earned over Rs 400 cr on its opening weekend creating a record in Indian cinema. “In the last three days, the movie has pocketed about Rs 400 crore. As per initial figures, the movie is expected to make Rs 1,000 crore as revenue after 50 days of run at the box office across the 8,000 screens, including the foreign screens,” a Hyderabad trade analyst told The Financial Express.
