Ayushmann Khurrana starrer ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ box office collections have been a decent Rs 6 crore in the opening weekend despite a slow start. The word of mouth has worked wonders for this Yash Raj Film venture, which was released only in 769 screens across India.
The movie, which garnered good reviews, has collected Rs 1.11 crore form Monday, Rs 2.12 crore from Saturday and Rs 2.85 crore from Sunday, taking the total business in the domestic box office to Rs 6.08 crore.
This has put the film at No 10 position in the top opening weekend grosser list, which is topped by Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’ with Rs 36.07 crore. (Movie review: Dum Laga Ke Haisha)
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, solid content of ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and terrific performance from Ayushmann Khurrana and debutante Bhumi Pednekar, the most unconventional lead actress ever in the history of YRF, have made way for good bx office collection figures.
