Mark Wahlberg recently cracked a joke about his movie ‘Ted’ and later on apologised for it before Pope Francis during the World Meeting of Families event in Philadelphia.

Addressing the crowd, the 44-year-old actor, who was the master of ceremonies at the event, asked the Pope to forgive him for saying that the film was not appropriate for a boy of his age, Us magazine reports.

The ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ actor added “Holy Father, please forgive me, adding that he hoped that the “good Lord has a sense of humor when it comes and pertains to many of the movies that I’ve made.”

The world’s largest Catholic gathering of families event was attended by more than 40,000 people and included performances given by Aretha Franklin and Andrea Boccelli.
