Sylvia Peterson recalled her daughter’s final moments and said that Peterson was in bed after a wonderful day, and they were planning on a dinner the next day, People magazine reported.
The reason for actress’ death, was found dead at her home in Greeley, Colorado, is yet to be revealed pending an autopsy report, but as per her mother it was probably due to sleep apnea.
Sylvia said that her daughter was a lively, humorous and a very cute person.
Amanda had made her big-screen debut aged 9 in the movie adaptation of ‘Annie,’ and has starred in several TV series, including ‘Doogie Howser,’ ‘M.D.’ and ‘Silver Spoons.’
She also starred in the 1985 fantasy film ‘Explorers,’ alongside River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke.
Her last onscreen work was in the 1994 film ‘Wind Runner,’ after which she left Hollywood for Colorado, and focused on her graduate education, church and family.
