Day 4 Bajrangi Bhaijaan box office collections: Salman Khan starrer collected Rs 27.05 crore in the domestic market and after adding the foreign take the sum swells to Rs 162.66 crore.
Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ box office collections were all set to break records for the superstar, having logged a whopping 90 pct opening day occupancy rate across the country. As per expectations, the day 1 Bajrangi Bhaijaan collections’ take was massive at Rs 34.40 crore – India (domestic) figure in that total was Rs 27.25 crore. However, Bajrangi Bhaijan’s domestic take was almost half of Baahubali’s Rs 50 crore on day 1 – even if you add the foreign take, Salman still failed to beat the Southern epic. Though it did not break any records yet, the good news for Salman Khan is that Bajrangi has surpassed some of 2015’s biggest openers such as Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, Varun Dhawan’s ‘ABCD 2’ and Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan box office collections on day 2, which was a Saturday, did not disappoint much either. Just the domestic collections were massive at Rs 36.50 crore for a total (India) of Rs 63.75 crore. This figure swells to Rs 72.79 crore when the foreign figures are added to the final total.
Thereafter the pace did not slow down, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan box office collections kept rising and rising and on Sunday the movie collected as much as Rs 38.75 crore and in the process crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in the opening weekend (domestic collections alone) itself – the day’s take added up to a total of Rs 102.60 crore. Coupled with the Rs 300 crore collections in 9 days that Baahubali made, the film industry in India is on a tremendous high after most of 2015 passed without too much to boast of. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is Salman Khan’s eighth movie to cross Rs 100 crore mark in India.
The news gets even better when you add the foreign collections (Sunday’s) to the total. This then balloons to a massive Rs 132.43 crore.
On Monday (day 4), there was virtually as much interest in the movie as on Friday (day 1). Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected Rs 27.05 crore in the domestic market and after adding the foreign take the sum swells to Rs 162.66 crore.
