A Gentleman Box Office Collection: Mumbai rains hit Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez starrer, earnings cut to Rs 16.76 cr; dubbed DUD

A Gentleman Box Office Collection Day 5: Directed by Krishna D.K., Raj Nidimoru, Bollywood film A Gentleman has failed to do well at the Box Office and earned a total of Rs 16.76 cr till Tuesday. The movie that features Student of the Year fame Sidharth Malhotra and Kick star Jacqueline Fernandez seems to be going down on the box office as far as its collection is concerned. On day 1, the movie earned a decent sum of Rs 4.04, however, on Tuesday its collection consisted of mere Rs 1.60 cr. Movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh termed the movie a ‘DUD.’ He took to Twitter to share a post with all the collection of the movie till date. He wrote, “#AGentleman is a DUD… Fri 4.04 cr, Sat 4.36 cr, Sun 4.73 cr, Mon 2.03 cr, Tue 1.60 cr. Total: ₹ 16.76 cr. India biz.”

Earlier in the week, on Day 4, Taran Adarsh shared a post saying, “#AGentleman remains low… Fri 4.04 cr, Sat 4.36 cr, Sun 4.73 cr, Mon 2.03 cr. Total: ₹ 15.16 cr. India biz.” On Monday while sharing the numbers of the movie, Adarsh had said that the movie ‘DISAPPOINTS’.

However, according to Bollywood Hungama, the Mumbai rains proved to be a villain for the film. The report said, ‘While the trending had anyways been quite poor, what made matters worse for the film were heavy rains in Maharashtra due to which theaters were empty. The situation is not expected to get any better today either since there is forecast of further heavy rains which means the film’s collections are only going to deteriorate further.’

As the opening weekend of the film is almost over, the film stands a real chance of staying below the first week collections of OK Jaanu which was itself quite poor at Rs 19 crore.
