Uttarakhand elections 2017: Close on the heels of his first rally in Uttarakhand’s Shrinagar earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi addressed yet another one in Pithoragarh. In Shrinagar, PM Modi had held up his own development record to canvass for votes in the state, besides promising to transform the state and make it one of the most vibrant ones in India in terms of economic development while at the same time flaying the ruling Congress Party under Chief Minister Harish Rawat over many sins of omission and commission, including the fact that corruption had become endemic, that he said left the people there unable to make progress. He also held out the examples of BJP-ruled Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand as well as his own reformist role at the Centre to burnish his claims. PM also slammed the opposition for questioning the surgical strikes against Pakistan across the LoC. He indicated that his government would ensure that retribution/vengeance would be quick if Pakistan dared to carry out such attacks again. PM has been covering an enormous amount of ground in the assembly elections being held in 5 states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur in an effort to ensure BJP triumphs. Check out here what PM Modi said at Pithoragarh:

1) Those who have looted the country for seventy years will have to return everything back: PM Narendra Modi.

2)  Will not let looters get away easily, he says.

3) We have increased funds being allotted to the armed personnel. This has benefited them & their families immensely: PM in Pithoragarh.

4) Surprised that a few speak about Harda tax. But why are development projects stalled? This has badly hit progress of state: PM Narendra Modi.
