Owing to the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, schools in NCR cities of Noida and Ghaziabad will remain closed on February 10 and 11.

Owing to the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, schools in NCR cities of Noida and Ghaziabad will remain closed on February 10 and 11. The 10th of February has been declared as a State holiday in observance of Sant Ravidas Jayanti. On the other hand, the 11th of February has been declared as a holiday owing to the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections.

Sources reported The Indian Express, that most of the school buses will be plying for Election duties as per State directives. For students, these holidays count a lot as they are appearing for their annual examinations.

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections will be held in seven phases for a total of 403 seats. Owing to the elections, the UP Board has already postponed the examination dates of the Board examinations. The class X board examination will commence from March 16 with ‘Hindi’ being the first paper and will end on April 1 with ‘Drawing’ paper.
