Firebrand Hindutva leader Yogi Adityanath has been elected as the next leader of Uttar Pradesh. Senior BJP leaders Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya have been elected as the deputy chief ministers of the state. The 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections have been no less than a David Fincher thriller so far. There was a strong build to this year’s poll, some unexpected turns and twists, conflict within Samajwadi party and even though BJP got a historic mandate by winning 325 seats in the state, it has kept people in suspense about its CM face. Only in this case, the people of UP won’t be hoping for an unexpected finish. Today is the day when finally the curtain will be raised and people will get to know the successor of Akhilesh Yadav after all the MLAs meet in Lucknow. Many names have been doing rounds in last few days with the current Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh leading the race. However, he is likely to get tough competition from Union Minister Manoj Sinha, Lucknow Mayor Dinesh Sharma and grandson of Lal Bahadur Shastri, Siddharth Nath Singh.
