The national president of Bahujan Samaj Party and four times Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati attacked the current Chief Minister of the state, Akhliesh Yadav over the poor law and order situation in the state. At the same time, she also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he hasn’t done anything for the people of India since taking over the post in 2014.

“Narendra Modi-led center, Akhilesh Yadav-led State Governments have done nothing for people of UP,” she said while addressing a rally at Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. She said that people of UP have anger against the Akhilesh government as it failed to keep a check on criminal activities and riots in the state. She said, “UP witnessed highest number of riots during the Samajwadi Part rule and that is why people have a lot of anger against the party.”

She added that law and order was very poor under Akhliesh Yadav and looking at the crowd gathered at the rally, it looks like people have already elected Bahujan Samaj Party to form the new government. “We are confident of winning all the seats from Sitapur and the crowd gathered here signals that they will vote for us,” she said.

Talking about the SP-Congress alliance, Mayawati said that it was selfish step by both the parties and has nothing to do with development. She appealed to the people of Sitapur to vote for BSP if they want to improve the law situation in the state and also mentioned that Bhartiya Janta Party is scared as they haven’t announced a CM face yet.
