Uttar Pradesh Elections 2017: Rita Bahuguna and Aparna Yadav are contesting elections from Lucknow Cantt.
UP Polls: Fight between two top female women candidates of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continues as Aparna Yadav and Rita Bahuguna indulge in a verbal attack against each other. Rita Bahuguna and Aparna Yadav are contesting elections from the same constituency, i.e. Lucknow Cantt. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, when asked about Aparna Yadav, BJP candidate Rita Bahuguna called her arrogant and her language indecent, she said, “Aparna Yadav’s language is indecent. She has become arrogant, her way of publicity is also wrong. She is younger than me, so I would just like to suggest her to stay grounded. Flying high will not yield her either victory or respect.”
Aparna Yadav replied to Bahuguna comment about her and said, “She should not have said this, I respect her very much. Listen to her older comments where she has used very indecent language. She is older than me and we should forgive our elders.”

When asked the type of competition that she is facing against Aparna Yadav, who comes from a family of politicians, Bahuguna said, “Elections in Uttar Pradesh are being made family affairs. It is an irony that the SP government is one big family and has had 4 CM among themselves but the condition of the state remains unchanged and is deteriorating.”
On questioned about husband Prateek Yadav’ lamborghini car, Aparna Yadav said, “What is the problem if he (Prateek Yadav) is driving a 4 crore car. He can afford it because he owns a business. Why would I say anything to him, we don’t talk about it.”
