Bizarre: When Rahul Gandhi invoked Shahrukh Khan’s DDLJ to bring down Narendra Modi

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today took a fresh jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this time invoking Shahrukh Khan's popular movie 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Ley Jayengay' (DDLJ) to bring down the PM.

Rahul Gandhi taunted the Prime Minister saying that like in movies everything will be changed in the state like a magic and all of a sudden AIIMS will be built in Gorakhpur and roads will be constructed. (PTI)

As the political drama in Uttar Pradesh intensifies with the ongoing seven-phased assembly elections in the state, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today took a fresh jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this time invoking Shahrukh Khan’s popular movie ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Ley Jayengay’ (DDLJ) to bring down the PM. Stating that PM Modi is making a movie where he himself is the actor, actress, producer, director and cameraman, Rahul Gandhi taunted the Prime Minister saying that like in movies everything will be changed in the state like a magic and all of a sudden AIIMS will be built in Gorakhpur and roads will be constructed.

Further mocking PM Modi by saying that the BJP leader is making DDLJ, Rahul also stated that the PM’s words doesn’t have weight. Over recent attacks by PM Modi on the Samajwadi Party and Congress, Rahul Gandhi claimed that Modi starts spreading hatred whenever he is scared and also said that this nature of the Prime Minister is quite natural as it is in his DNA.

Rahul Gandhi was addressing an election rally at Gorakhpur district of the state with his ally, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav. Speaking at the rally, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. today hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over their jibe on the ruling party on electric power supply issues in the state. Following BJP Member of Parliament (MP) Yogi Adityanath’s remarks on the lack of power supply in UP, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the BJP MP who dons safron robes can touch an electric wire and check whether there is power or not.

Addressing the public rally, the UP CM also hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stated that in his three times tenure as the Chief Minister, Modi couldn’t construct metro in the state. He also took a jibe at the PM over his promises on bullet trains in the country and asked him to hurry up with the project as he will ‘not get another chance’ to form the government at the centre.
