Thakur also reiterated the same in another instance on the same day, adding that she did not regret demolishing structure but in fact was proud of it.
BJP Bhopal candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur on Sunday raked up another controversy by saying that she was proud of Babri demolition in Ayodhya.
Thakur also admitted that she was part of the mob that demolished the Babri Mosque structure on December 6, 1992.
Speaking to news agency ANI, she said: “I had said it yesterday too, not denying it. I had demolished the structure. I will go there and help in the construction of Ram temple. Nobody can stop us from doing that. Ram rashtra hain, rashtra Ram hain (Ram is country and country is Ram).”

She made similar comments in an interview with AajTak. “Why would we regret the demolition of the Babri Masjid? We are, in fact, proud of it. There were some waste products of the Ram temple and we removed it. This has awakened the self-respect of our country and we will construct a grand Ram temple,” she said while responding to a question on Babri demolition.
This is the second time she has made controversial remarks after being nominated by the BJP to take on Digvijay Singh from Bhopal. Earlier, she said that 26/11 martyr Hemant Karkare died because she had cursed him. Her statement embarrassed the saffron party which distanced itself from the remarks.
Later, Pragya apologized and withdrew her statement.
The Election Commission has taken cognizance of her statement on Ayodhya and asked her to clarify.
While the opposition has criticised the BJP for inducting Sadhvi into the party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has defended the move saying the charges leveled against her were manufactured. In a rally, PM Modi said that terrorists from Pakistan used to set off blasts but the Congress and its companions were busy in putting the terrorist stamp on Hindus.
