Nagaland election result 2018 news updates: Nagaland Assembly Elections exit polls results was declared on 27 February. . The voting for Nagaland Assembly election took place on Tuesday. Along with Nagaland, the voting is also underway in Meghalaya. While in Tripura, the third north-eastern state, the voting was carried out earlier this month. The results of the 60 seat assembly will be announced on March 3. Prior to voting, NDPP chief Neiphiu Rio was declared elected unopposed from the Northern Angami-II constituency. Amit Shah-led Bharatiya Janata Party has made big claims of securing a victory in the elections. It will be interesting to see how the saffron party will influence elections or not.
Currently, the Naga People’s Front, led by TR Zeliang, is ruling the state. In last elections, the BJP won four seats while the JD(U) bagged one. The Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) is ruling the state led by the NPF and supported by the BJP. On the other hand, the saffron party is in a better position than Congress which seems to be losing its hold in the state.
