"Our internal survey shows a clear win for us in Delhi. We will win all 7 seats," Kejriwal said.
After being snubbed by Congress president Rahul Gandhi over an alliance in Delhi for the April-May Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday exuded confidence of winning all the seven seats of the national capital. Kejriwal said a survey conducted by the AAP has predicted a clean sweep for the party.
“Our internal survey shows a clear win for us in Delhi. We will win all 7 seats,” Kejriwal said. The AAP has already named candidates for six Delhi Lok Sabha seats.
Kejriwal also slammed the BJP government at the Centre over the issue of giving complete statehood to Delhi.
“There is massive unemployment in Delhi, if Delhi is given complete statehood we will solve this problem. Getting full statehood is the key issue of upcoming elections,” the Delhi CM said.
Kejriwal also plans to burn copies of BJP’s 2014 Lok Sabha election manifesto on Wednesday March 13 in protest against Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwary’s statement that issue of statehood for Delhi will not be included in the party’s 2019 poll manifesto.
The BJP had won all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi in 2014. Delhi is scheduled to vote on May 12, 2019.
